We are ending March with a very warm heart! As many #Naotics know, it’s always been important for us to give back to local communities and help those in need.
Last week, Naot USA partnered with the NBA Houston Rockets’ Austin Rivers and Houston based Naot Retailer, All About Feet, to donate brand new shoes to more than 200 homeless women residing at the Women and Family Development Center in Star of Hope Mission’s Cornerstone Community.
Star of Hope has been in Houston since 1907 and is one of the oldest and largest homeless organizations in America. The organization is dedicated to meeting the needs of over 1,400 homeless men, women, and their children in Houston every day.
Scott Arthur, Star of Hope’s Director of Public Relations said the generous gesture came at a great time. “One of our goals is to have these homeless victims of domestic violence, trafficking, and bad decisions, do something normal and feel like the beautiful ladies they are. Kudos to the Houston Rockets’ Austin Rivers, Naot Footwear and All About Feet for helping us change lives and end homelessness one life, one family at a time,” Arthur said.
The donation event was a huge success and shortly after the day ended, Rivers tweeted that “These women were all smiles today!”
At Naot USA we believe that all people should have the opportunity to live comfortably and look stylish. This is one of the countless reasons behind our drive, with the help of our retailers and local charities to fit as many people as we can around the nation with Naot Footwear.
Every year we donate approximately 15,000 pairs of shoes and sandals to charities nationwide, with the hope that this little addition to these people’s lives will bring joy and happiness one step at a time. #NaotGivesBack
There are few feelings as good as helping a less fortunate person experience the happiness of putting on a brand new, comfortable shoe and we strive to accomplish this with every donation we take part in.
